IELTS Retake Training Options
There is no single preparation plan that works for every IELTS repeat test taker. Your training approach will be determined after reviewing your latest IELTS result and understanding your individual needs.
1. Focused Training for a Specific IELTS Module
If your previous result shows that you are already performing well in most areas but need to improve one particular module, your preparation can focus mainly on that module. Training may include understanding the assessment criteria, improving your approach to different question types, practising appropriate strategies and receiving targeted feedback.
2. Mock Tests, Corrections and Feedback
Some candidates may already have a reasonable level of English and understand the IELTS format but need more practice under test conditions. In such cases, training can focus on mock tests followed by detailed correction, feedback and discussion of areas that need improvement.
3. Intensive Mock-Test Preparation
Candidates who are already close to their required band score may benefit from several mock tests and regular feedback before taking the examination again. The frequency and number of mock tests can be discussed according to the candidate's preparation level, available time and individual requirements.
4. IELTS Strategy and Examination Skills
Some candidates may know English well but struggle to demonstrate their ability effectively in the IELTS examination. Training can therefore focus on question analysis, time management, understanding task requirements, planning answers, avoiding common mistakes and developing strategies appropriate to the individual module.
5. English Grammar and Vocabulary Foundation
If, after reviewing your previous IELTS result and discussing your difficulties with you, the faculty identifies a need to strengthen your underlying English, training may begin with grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction and other essential language skills. Further practice and assessment during the training will help determine the areas that require additional attention before progressing to more intensive IELTS preparation.
6. Combined IELTS and English Language Preparation
Some candidates may require a combination of IELTS preparation and English language development. In such cases, individual training can combine module-specific IELTS work with grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, communication skills or other areas identified during the initial discussion and throughout the training process.
Your Training Plan Can Develop as You Progress
Your initial training plan is not necessarily fixed for the entire programme. As you complete practice activities, mock tests and individual sessions, your performance and response to feedback may help identify areas that require greater or less attention. The focus of your preparation can therefore be adjusted as you progress towards your next IELTS attempt.
How Training Is Delivered
Individual online classes are normally arranged for up to two hours per day, Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. Class timings are arranged according to the availability of both the student and the faculty, and all individual classes are scheduled according to Indian Standard Time (IST).
Students currently enrolled in the programme may also participate in a group IELTS workshop every Saturday.
Available individual faculty slots may vary according to demand and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
No Fixed Training Package Is Promised
We do not assume that every repeat test taker needs the same number of classes, the same modules or the same preparation strategy. The appropriate training approach depends on the candidate's previous IELTS performance, discussion with the faculty, individual difficulties, progress during training and preparation needs.
Training therefore remains individualised rather than being based on a standard promise of a particular number of lessons or a guaranteed band score.
Not Sure Which Training Option Is Right for You?
You do not need to decide your training approach on your own. Submit your latest IELTS Test Report Form and speak with the faculty about your previous experience, difficulties and preparation needs.
