How It Works
How IELTS Retake Training Works
A simple, individualised process designed for candidates who have already taken IELTS and are preparing for another attempt.
1. Submit a copy of Your Latest IELTS Result
Before training begins, you will need to submit a copy of one of your latest IELTS Test Report Forms. This allows the faculty to review your previous performance and understand your current position in relation to your required band score.
2. Faculty Reviews Your Previous Performance
The faculty will review your latest IELTS result and, where appropriate, speak with you directly to understand the difficulties you experienced during the test, your challenges with individual modules and the areas in which you feel you need further support. This helps us identify your strengths, weaknesses and the most appropriate starting point for your preparation.
3. Decide Where Your Training Should Begin
Your training does not have to begin from the same level or follow the same programme as another candidate. Based on your previous IELTS result, your discussion with the faculty and your individual difficulties, we will determine the most appropriate starting point and areas of focus.
4. Choose the Training Approach That Suits You
Your preparation may involve focused training for one or more IELTS modules, regular mock tests with detailed corrections, examination strategies and techniques, or a combination of different approaches. If your English language foundation needs strengthening, training may also begin with areas such as grammar and vocabulary before progressing to more intensive IELTS preparation.
5. Arrange Your Individual Classes
Individual classes are normally arranged for up to two hours per day, Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. Class timings are arranged according to the availability of both the student and the faculty, and all individual classes are scheduled according to Indian Standard Time (IST).
Available faculty slots may vary depending on the number of candidates seeking training. Individual slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
6. Attend the Saturday Group Workshop
Students currently enrolled in the programme may participate in a group workshop every Saturday. The workshop provides an opportunity for additional IELTS practice, guided activities, discussion, interaction with other test takers and learning beyond the individual sessions.
7. Practise, Receive Feedback and Track Your Progress
Your preparation may include practice tasks, mock tests and detailed feedback, depending on your individual training plan. Feedback is used to identify recurring difficulties, refine your approach and help you become more prepared for your next IELTS attempt.
Your Commitment Matters
Individual training can provide guidance, practice and feedback, but your progress also depends on your own commitment. Regular attendance, completing assigned practice, taking mock tests seriously and applying feedback consistently are important parts of preparing for another IELTS attempt.
